Bespoke Earth Braid Assemblies Manufactured in the UK
An earth braid is a flexible conductor formed by interweaving hundreds of fine copper wires into a flat, round or tubular cross-section. Unlike a solid conductor of equivalent cross-sectional area, a braided construction absorbs vibration, accommodates thermal movement and resists fatigue under repeated flexing — making it the preferred choice for earthing, bonding and EMC applications wherever fixed-point connections are not practical.
At Cablepoint, we manufacture earth braid assemblies from bare copper and tinned copper braid stock, cutting to your required length and applying your choice of termination: crimped tube or ring lugs, solder-blocked ends, heat-shrink insulation in standard green/yellow or alternative colours, and custom labelling where required. Our automated terminating machines and on-site tinning facility allow us to produce earth braid assemblies efficiently and consistently, whether you need a small development batch or a sustained production volume.

UK Earth Braid Manufacturers with Over 30 Years of Experience
The performance of an earth braid assembly depends heavily on the quality of its terminations. A poorly crimped lug introduces resistance, generates heat under fault conditions and can fail at exactly the wrong moment. At Cablepoint, every earth braid assembly is produced by IPC/WHMA-A-620 trained operators using calibrated crimping equipment, with crimp force monitoring via our SPC crimp testing machines to verify terminal integrity on every assembly. This is not a visual check after the fact — it is process control during production.
We work from customer drawings or can advise on the appropriate cross-sectional area, material specification and termination method for your application. Tinned copper is recommended for outdoor, humid and vibration-intensive environments; bare copper is suited to indoor, protected installations. Both are available across the full range of cross-sections we manufacture. Our quality procedures and manufacturing standards are detailed on our standards page.
